Duotrigordle: 32 Wordles at once
Duotrigordle is 32 Wordles in one game: every guess goes on all 32 boards, and you have 37 guesses to solve them all. Play today's Duotrigordle free, then deal unlimited boards when you want another round.
How to play Duotrigordle
Duotrigordle hides 32 five-letter words, one on each board. The name comes from the Latin for thirty-two. Every word you type goes on every open board at once, and each board colors it for its own word: green for the right letter in the right spot, yellow for a letter that is in that word somewhere else, gray for a letter that is not in it.
Guess a board's word and that board locks and fades, so the rest of your guesses only land on the boards still open. You have 37 guesses to solve all 32. Since each board needs one guess of its own to finish, that leaves just five guesses for finding letters. If you run out, the words you missed show under their boards.
On a phone the boards sit two or three across, and you scroll to see them all while the keyboard stays put. A key turns gray once its letter is out on every board you have not solved, which matters more and more as the boards fill up.
Duotrigordle strategy: 32 boards, 37 guesses
With 32 words in play, your first guesses do more work than in any other game in the family. Each one tests its letters on 32 boards, so a few good openers will show you most of the alphabet.
- Open with three or four words that share no letters, such as SLATE, CORNY, BUMPH and then a word with G, K or W. After four guesses you will have tested about 20 letters on every board. Our best starting words are a good place to start.
- Then solve the easy boards first. Scroll for any board with four green letters or a single word that fits, and take it. Every solved board means fewer clues to track.
- Count your spare guesses. Guesses left minus boards left is how many you can spend on a word that is not an answer. When it reaches zero, every guess has to solve a board.
- Watch for repeat letters. With 32 words, some may have double letters, so a green letter does not rule out the same letter again elsewhere in that word.
