How to use the jumble solver

  1. Type the letters of one scrambled word, for example LBEJMU.
  2. Press Find words. Answers that use every letter are listed first under Using all letters. For LBEJMU that is JUMBLE.
  3. Repeat for each word, then solve the circled letters for the final answer.

If a word has no answer, check that you typed every letter once. A ? stands in for a letter you cannot read.

Tips for solving word jumbles yourself

  • Start with letter pairs that often sit together: CH, SH, TH, CK, QU, ST and NG.
  • Try common endings: -ING, -ED, -ER, -LY, -LE and -Y.
  • Move the vowels around last. Consonant shapes are easier to recognise.
  • Enjoy anagrams in general? The anagram solver also lists every shorter word in your letters.

Frequently asked questions

How do I solve a Jumble puzzle?
Type the scrambled letters of one word at a time. The answer that uses every letter appears first. Once all words are solved, take the circled letters and solve them the same way for the final answer.
What if the solver shows more than one answer?
Some letter sets make two or more words, such as DEARTH and THREAD. Check which one fits the cartoon clue or the circled letters, and try the other if the final answer does not work.
Can it solve the final answer phrase?
It solves one word at a time. For a phrase, count the blanks in each word of the answer, then filter by that length under More filters.
Does it publish daily Jumble answers?
No. The solver works for any puzzle: type the letters from today's paper or app and it finds the words for you.
