Why replay old Wordles?
- You missed a day. Play it now, without seeing the answer on a news site first.
- Practice openers. Try a starting word on dozens of real past puzzles. Our best Wordle starting words are tested on every answer.
- Play more than once a day. Old puzzles are real, hand-picked answers, unlike random words. For endless random rounds, there is Wordle Unlimited.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I replay an old Wordle?
- Pick yesterday's puzzle, a random one, a puzzle number or a date above. All past Wordles are here. The game opens with six empty rows, just like the day that puzzle came out.
- Is there a Wordle archive I can play?
- Yes, this is one: every puzzle from #0 on June 19, 2021 up to yesterday can be played here for free, with no account. The New York Times also has an official archive for its subscribers.
- Can I play today's Wordle here?
- No. Replay stops at yesterday so today's answer is never spoiled. For help with today's puzzle, open today's Wordle hints. Wordle hint today.
- Does playing an old Wordle change my streak?
- Not your official one: replays happen on Vowelkit, not in the New York Times app. They do count as practice rounds for your Vowelkit stats and badges.
